If you are in danger, call 911 immediately.
Domestic abuse comes in all forms. Some types leave wounds you can see, while others hide in the cracks and crevices of your heart and cut over and over again. No type of abuse is okay. All abuse can leave scars that last a lifetime. If you or someone you know needs support, this page offers resources to help point you in the right direction. I’ve linked to Amazon for products because it’s familiar to most, but they are not affiliate links. Unless noted, the books I suggest can be found online at most popular retailers or at your local library.
Try to remember that you are not alone, even if it feels like it. The Bible says in Luke 4:18 that JESUS came to set the captives free. That’s not just some quote from a long time ago. It’s a truth we can believe and hold close to our hearts today.
May the LORD heal what’s broken in your life and make you whole again.

This is one of the best books I’ve found on navigating domestic abuse from a Biblical perspective. It was designed to help anyone who wants to walk alongside and support those who are experiencing abuse but can be especially useful to anyone navigating intimate/spousal abuse and looking for answers.
